Las Vegas' largest resort operators are offering race-and-stay packages for the Formula 1 Heineken Silver Las Vegas Grand Prix next Nov. 16 to 18.

Among them is MGM Resorts International, which will build a temporary grandstand in front of the famous Fountains of Bellagio for its guests. Access to those prime seats is currently only available through MGM Resorts.

Packages include a three-day race ticket at either the Bellagio Grandstands, with views of the main straight and winner's stage, or the Paddock Grandstands, to be built in the East Harmon (Avenue) Zone across from the pit lanes, which will also give fans a view of the start/finish line.

Participating MGM Resorts properties are Aria, Bellagio, Vdara, MGM Grand, Mandalay Bay, Delano, Park MGM, Luxor, New York-New York, and Excalibur.

Up to two race tickets can be purchased per package, and a minimum three-night stay is required. Unlimited food and nonalcoholic beverages in the grandstands are included. Room rates vary by property/room type (from $658 per room, per night plus tax and fees at the Luxor to $2,950 at the Bellagio).

"In just over a year, F1 fans from around the globe will see how Las Vegas throws a party," said Steve Zanella, MGM Resorts' chief commercial officer. "In addition to the Bellagio Grandstands, which will set new standards for event viewing, we will create a round-the-clock celebration worthy of this international spectacular."

The race will take place at night, with drivers reaching speeds of more than 210 mph on the 3.8-mile track. There will be 50 race laps with three main straights and 17 corners.  Formula 1 recently posted a video that depicts what drivers will see as they race on the Las Vegas streets.

Caesars packages

Caesars Entertainment properties are also offering room-and-ticket packages.

Packages include two tickets to the race and a minimum three-night stay at Caesars Palace, Paris Las Vegas, the Cromwell, Bally's Las Vegas, Planet Hollywood Hotel & Casino, Harrah's Las Vegas, the LINQ Hotel + Experience, Flamingo Las Vegas or Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino.

"We couldn't be more thrilled to be right in the center of what's sure to be one of the most exciting nights Las Vegas has ever seen," said Sean McBurney, regional president of Caesars Entertainment. "Our properties are terrifically positioned to make accessing the race, grandstands and paddocks as easy as possible."

Guests can create their own package by pairing a choice of two tickets in the Paddock Club, skyboxes or grandstands in the East Harmon Zone overlooking Turn 2 with their preferred Caesars Las Vegas property and room type.

Visit Caesars.com/F1 or call 888-507-8881 to purchase. Packages start at $2,168 (average per room per night plus tax and fees) at Rio to $3,151 at Caesars Palace.

Packages at Resorts World, Wynn

Resorts World packages start at $35,000 and include a suite, grandstand tickets, transportation to and from Reid Airport as well as food, beverage and Zouk nightclub credits. There is a 10% discount if booked before Dec. 29. Call (702) 676-7388 for more information.

Wynn Resorts is offering three high-end packages at its Wynn Las Vegas and Encore hotels. The Paddock Club Package and Wynn Grid Club Package, both with a four-night stay, begin at $60,000, and $150,000, respectively.

A $1 million package includes four nights in Encore's 5,829-square-foot, three-bedroom duplex; admission for six people to the race and official Formula 1 events, including the opening ceremony; a three-liter jeroboam of Dom Perignon; dinner at Delilah; tickets to "Awakening," Wynn's latest stage spectacular; transportation; and many other amenities.

The three-day event includes practice sessions and a qualifying round and culminates with the race on Saturday night, Nov. 18.
